Terms of Use

Effective 3 August 2026

1Acceptance

By installing or using the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please uninstall the app.

2Your licence

You may use the app free of charge, on any device you own, for personal and non-commercial reading and study. This licence is personal to you and cannot be transferred or sub-licensed.

3What you may not do

  • Copy, redistribute or sell the app or its contents as your own product.
  • Reverse engineer the app or attempt to extract its source code.
  • Interfere with the advertising that funds the app, or generate invalid ad traffic.

4About the scripture text

The Bhagavad Gita itself is an ancient work in the public domain. The translations, word-by-word breakdowns and commentary in this app are provided as study aids to help you approach it.

They are not a substitute for the scripture in its original form, nor for guidance from a qualified teacher. Where an interpretation matters to you, consult a primary source.

5Advertising

The app is free because it shows ads. What advertising collects, and how to limit or switch off personalised ads, is described in the privacy policy.

6Availability

The app is provided as it is. We may change, suspend or discontinue it, or any part of it, at any time and without notice.

7No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

8Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including loss of data.

Your notes and bookmarks are stored only on your device and are not backed up by us. Uninstalling the app deletes them permanently, and they cannot be recovered.

9Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page is revised. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
